Sadly I am very poorly with man flu
and will not be able to come to Edinburgh after all, leaving Barry, Mike and Dave Taylor to look after themselves this weekend.(Although I have paid for them via Paypal) See you next time, Keith.

Chuffed with World Quiz score of 157 - Kevin and Pat won't be losing sleep, but any time you improve on last year, you're doing well.

157 is very impressive indeed. Which genre did you drop?

Only got 13 in Sport, so that was my discard - mostly 20s after that, but the History round just happened to suit me.

So a process of elimination suggests you're Patrick Friel? Hi, nice to meet you. Why Kerry?

Look again Anne. My guess, Kerry-Ireland=Paul Culloty.

Re: Sign Up - iQa World Quizzing Championships 2012 - Edinbu
I had a fantastic day on Saturday. Big thanks to all the organisers involved. The venue was perfect, I met a lot of friendly people and enjoyed the quizzing!
As for the WQC, I knew it was going to be tough and beyond me a little at this stage. I set myself a target score based on what I usually get when I buy the GP questions from this site and exceeded it a little so I was pleased with what I got. You may look at my lowly score and think I'm nuts but I'm very much still learning but least now have some proper quizzing experience.
The afternoon quiz was marvellous and easily the most enjoyable team based quiz I have ever played in. We had a great team who all threw answers into the hat, ended up 2nd to Brians team which we were pleased with and both Tony and Colins sets were great!
Tracey too would like to pass on her thanks for the day. My only regret is that I wish we would have booked in a hotel overnight and went to the curry evening and enjoyed the city a bit more. Oh well, theres always next year (I hope).
Overall a great day! My first quizzing event and definitely not my last
P.S. I noticed photos being taken (I think by Tony) throughout so would be interested to know if these will appear anywhere

Ah. When I checked the WQC earlier, it gave Paul an unchecked 153, and my browser has been behaving strangely since and not letting me into the site. That's why I was confused. Just logged in with a different browser, and I see Paul's confirmed score this time. Brilliant result, Paul.
