We are expecting a big turn-out for this event, not least because it is both the last of the calendar year, and the first following England's triumphs at the European Quizzing Championships in Tartu, Estonia - and we will be presenting the winners and their trophies for the acclamation of quizzers assembled on 1 December.

As Fred Pontin would say, "Book early!"

I will be there, and have already booked the new Travelodge for the Friday and Saturday nights. I got the rooms for £29 per night on 1st November.
Fingers crossed the weather holds as I have an additional 120 or so miles to travel before meeting up with Nic for the journey to Burton.
