Mastermind Audition Question

Hi

I am applying for Mastermind and I have a quick question. What happened in the audition? Do your specialist subjects play a part in the audition? I am thinking of the four subjects to choose and any help would be great

Hi Dan,

I auditioned last year at a GP. So I did the written test and then went into the interview. My guess is that what impressed them was the test score, and my ability to sell myself and my specialist subjects. The mantra (for non-slebs) is of course "don't offer Man U or Bond films, because 250 other people do each year".

One of my specialist subjects was also offered by someone else, so I needed to have four. You don't have to be grilled on your specialist subject, but you can help yourself immensely if you can demonstrate that it will intrigue the audience, or provide 2 minutes of "I never knew that.."

I went a few years ago. Gorgeous runner working on the audition in Leeds. Anyway, they loved my subjects, but not me.
Basically, just went in, talked a bit about subjects, then answered some questions.

Yeah, my audition is confirmed for week after next. Informed me there will be a brief chat about subjects and filming times and also 20 GK questions
