EQC News Roundup

Postby Jane » Mon Nov 12, 2012 10:51 am

Courtesy of the free wi-fi in Tallinn airport we can report that the UK had a great championships. England regained the title of European Nations Champions and 'Thiamine' (England B1) won the parallel Aspirational Cup, making the country the undisputed kings of International team competition. England team members Kevin Ashman and Pat Gibson triumphed in the Pairs event, taking Gold, and Olav Bjortomt took Bronze in the individual event, with Jesse Honey and Dave Lea carrying the flag for England in the final, also. The only competition we left empty handed from was the Club Team, with former multiple winners Broken Hearts no doubt broken-hearted to finish agonisingly close to a medal in 4th place!
