Numbers 1 and 9 also now correct. There were 2 blues singers called Sonny Boy Williamson. Good record shops used to index them seperately.

Is the cat called 'Elgar', that sounds somewhat familiar to me?

I'm going to guess there was a Scottish railway junction called Maxwell.
