Re: Continuous Quiz: TV
To try and get this thread going again:
Which British sit com’s character had the surname of either Lewis or Underwood (depending on which source it is taken from) but was hardly ever known by either surname ? (If anyone knows why there are alternative surnames for this character, I would be grateful if they would explain it as I have not been able to find out yet!).

Clue:
"They came out lovely and all, I'm sorry sir"
"What's all this Lewis....."

Further clue:
"Is this the tin that's missing?"
"That's the one sir"
"Pull yourself together Mr Birchwood"

Re: Continuous Quiz: TV
The answer is Lukewarm from Porridge. In the episode about the tin of pineapple chunks, he is referred to as Lewis (hence the dialogue from the kitchen). In a later "mocumentary" about Fletcher's life after prison (called "Life Beyond The Box"), he is referred to a Timothy Underwood.
Following my spectacular failure to revive this thread, I will leave it for someone else to do so!

Well, I didn't participate for the simple reason that I didn't know the answer!
So I'll have a go at putting a question instead.
Following success as Arnold Rimmer in Red Dwarf, & the title character in The Brittas Empire, which sitcom was Chris Barrie's next starring project on UK TV, where he played an ex international footballer?

John, it was indeed.
Chris Barrie has been great to our charity fundraising group & did quizmaster duties on a number of occasions. A very funny & extremely likeable chap. Shame about Gary Prince, but they can't all be winners I suppose.
Your turn.
